So Your Faculty Have Flipped Their Classrooms—Now What?

RTTP Session at CIC Chief Academic Officers Institute
Sunday, November 3, 2013
Pittsburgh, PA

How can colleges deliver on the promise that smaller colleges routinely make about individual attention and powerful learning environments? Three CAOs will lead a highly interactive session on one technique that faculty members could use in the flipped classroom, “Reacting to the Past.” This technique develops students’ critical thinking and oral communication skills as well as empathy and confidence.

Panelists include:

  • John Burney, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, Doane College
  • Agnes Caldwell, Vice President and Dean for Academic Affairs, Adrian College
  • Charlie McCormick, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Schreiner University

This session will be held at the 41st Annual Institute for Chief Academic and Chief Student Affairs Officers.  Please visit the Council of Independent Colleges web site for further information.
