Call for Participation: Faculty Survey

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Reacting Consortium, under the guidance of Dr. Mark Carnes, Executive Director, and a governing board drawn from participating institutions. Housed at Barnard College, the Reacting Consortium is an independently chartered organization of colleges and universities committed to developing and publishing the "Reacting to the Past" series of role playing games and providing programs for faculty development and curricular change. Its broader mission is to promote imagination, inquiry, and engagement as foundational features of teaching and student learning in higher education. Click here for further details on membership.

We are already working to expand our outreach activities, as well as to strengthen our collaborative enterprise, including a host of new online resources and a series of national, regional, and campus workshops.  The Reacting Consortium is also developing a partnership with a new publisher, W.W. Norton & Company. Norton will be working closely with the Reacting Consortium Editorial Board to prepare revised editions of existing games and to publish new games, as well as to expand the resources available to instructors and students. As part of that collaboration, we ask for your participation in a joint survey, which is hosted on the Doane College web site.

The survey will help us to identify the learning resources and games that will be most useful to faculty, and provide comparative data on the effectiveness of RTTP games in a variety of educational settings. Your individual responses are confidential and will only be discussed or presented in aggregate form or in anonymous citations.

 Participate in the survey now.
